• Identify four skills related to reading and list the overt signs demonstrating difficulty in those skills. Recall three common assumptions about reading that do not generally apply to older adult readers.
  •  Modify a standard article/essay/story to make it age/dementia friendly. Modify an environment to make it age/dementia friendly and conducive to reading.  Incorporate adapted reading into the lives of residents.
  •  Educate families and volunteers on how to incorporate adapted reading into resident video calls for meaningful, substantive remote, Covid-safe visits. Design volunteer and inter-generational programs centered on adapted reading - in person, as well as via video.
