Speaker Bio: KATE HARRIS, MA, MS, BS
Kate Harris, a Consultant at Marts & Lundy / Richner + Richner, has over ten years of fundraising and nonprofit experience as a development professional, program director, fundraising consultant, community volunteer, and board member. Prior to joining Richner + Richner, Kate served as Regional Philanthropy Officer for the National Wildlife Federation’s Great Lakes Regional Center. She was formerly Director of Development for Ann Arbor’s Ecology Center and currently serves on the Alumni Advisory Board for the School for Environment and Sustainability. Her professional experience includes major gifts, annual fund development, stewardship, grant writing, events management, nonprofit leadership, and communications. Kate holds a Master’s degree in Philanthropy, Advancement, and Development from the Center for the Study of Higher and Post-Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the School of Natural Resources and Environment, both at the University of Michigan. She received her Bachelor’s degree in French from Ohio University and is trained in leadership, facilitation, cross-cultural dialogue, public speaking, and nonprofit management.
