Speaker Bio: SHARON GRAMBOW, CPA, LNHA

After serving for over thirteen years as Chief Operating Officer for Sun Health Communities (SHC), Sharon Grambow accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer for Sun Health effective June 2019. In this role, Ms. Grambow is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administration of financial activities, including accounting, financial systems and control, compliance, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting for the entire Sun Health enterprise. In addition, Ms. Grambow is also responsible for Real Estate Planning and Development for the organization. In addition to her previous role as chief operating officer, Grambow has held other leadership roles at Sun Health, including Health Care Administrator for Grandview Care Center, executive director for Grandview Terrace, and Chief Financial Officer for Sun Health Communities (SHC). In 2018, the Sun Health Board of Directors asked Ms. Grambow to serve as Interim President and CEO after the unexpected retirement of the CEO.  Under Ms. Grambow’s leadership, SHC grew from one senior living community with 380 units and 420 residents to three senior living Life Care communities with almost 900 units and more than 1,000 residents. Her communities have been recognized for excellence by organizations such as the NAHB 55+, LeadingAgeNational, Environments for Aging, Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), and U.S. News & World Reports.  Ms. Grambow has more than 26 years of experience in senior housing operations, health care facilities management, and property management. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Grambow is also a licensed nursing home administrator, member of the American College of Health Care Administrators, and an executive board member of the American Senior Housing Association. She serves as executive advisory member and past president of WESTMARC, a coalition of business, government, and education in the West Valley. She also served as past president and board member of Theater Works, a 501(c) 3 professional community theater organization. Ms. Grambow was recently named as one of the 2016 Most Influential Women in Business in Arizona.
